    AF(anti-fingerprint) Glass

    In the previous two articles, we have introduced Ag Glass and AR glass. Today we will introduce the following AF glass (anti-fingerprint glass).

    AG Glass --- Anti-glare glass

    AF Glass --- Anti-fingerprint glass 

    Since we want to talk about AF glass, we First, let’s introduce the following meaning of AF (anti-fingerprint coating). So, what is the AF coating process?

     

    Name:

    AF ---- Anti-fingerprint, Chinese means anti-fingerprint. Generally, composite materials (DON, M4, Dow Corning AF materials) are used, while the seismometer is coated using plasma spray coating technology, which is more efficient and has lower operating costs than traditional electroplating coating methods.

    Principle:

    AF anti-fouling and anti-fingerprint glass is based on the lotus leaf principle. A layer of nano-chemical material is coated on the outer surface of the glass to reduce the surface tension of the glass to a minimum. The contact area between dust and the glass surface is reduced by 90%, making it highly hydrophobic, anti-oil and anti-fingerprint.     How AF Coating is made ? 

    Next, we will talk about the process of anti-fingerprint treatment in detail.

    ① Pretreatment: Use weak alkaline cleaning agent or solvent to remove oil, water and other stains on the surface of the substrate. Ultrasonic cleaning will have a better effect.

    ② Plate AF solution on the surface of the product to form a film;

    ③ Baking: After spraying, take out the glass and put it into the oven (120 degrees, 30 minutes), and adjust it to the best according to the specific requirements and product conditions;

    ④Cleaning: After the product is cleaned, it is packaged as a finished product.

    The three coating processes are similar, except for the coating method and the solution. For example, the AR process is : cleaning → drying → coating → curing → high temperature tempering

     

    Features of AF coating:

    1) Anti-fouling: prevent fingerprints and oil stains from adhering and being easy to wipe off;

    2) Anti-scratch: The surface is smooth, feels comfortable, and is not easy to scratch;

    3) Thin film layer: excellent optical properties, no change to the original texture;

    4) Wear resistance: has true wear resistance

     

    Application of AF coating: 

    AF glass is widely used in various fields due to its hydrophobic and oleophobic properties, such as mobile phones, tablets, TVs, LED and other glass displays , etc.
